Donut Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted


Glaze Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp milk
  • Colour Nature powders (various colors)


Equipment Needed:

  • Donut pan or donut cutter
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Piping bag or spoon


Donut Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut cup approximately two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let donuts cool.


Glaze Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with milk to create a thick glaze.
  2. Divide the glaze into smaller bowls and stir in different Colour Nature powders for various colors.
  3. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze or use a spoon or piping bag to apply it.


Tips:

  • For a richer donut, you can deep fry them in oil instead of baking.
  • Let the glaze set on the donuts before serving.
